2026 Show: “The Kids Who Created America.”​

Rehearsals June 8 - 19, 2026 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Performances June 19, 7:00 and 20, 2:00

Free for all students entering 6th - 12th grade at any school.​
 

Participants will learn a play and perform it in 2 weeks. Our focus is students entering 6th to 12th grade, but other ages may be considered on a case-by-case basis. The program is open to any student of any district or homeschooled, not just Dowagiac students. If we have more participants than performing roles, some roles will be shared. Backstage and production assignments are available for those who are not interested in performing. This program is designed to be a low-stress introduction to theatre. Beginners are encouraged to join.
 

There are several changes for our 2026 program. After years of growth, we have to cap the total number of students to 25 actors and 8 backstage / tech crew. It is HIGHLY recommended to sign up ahead of time to be accepted. If more sign up than the limit, they will be placed on the waiting list. Auditions for roles will take place on the first day instead of the week before as we have done in previous years. Everyone who attends and auditions will be given a role or assignment. And remember, this program is absolutely free thanks to our sponsors!
